Spanish language and culture course Intermediate, Advanced and Superior Levels: Profile: Basic and advanced skills in Spanish. Objectives: · To build up and improve the language in real communication situations. · To study the formal aspects of the Spanish language (grammar and vocabulary) in depth. Methodology: The communicative method, based on real communication situations, is always our most important methodological reference. In the process of ‘teaching-learning’, the grammar, the vocabulary, the pronunciation and the written expression are treated as formal constituents of the real communication situations. On these levels we introduce descriptive aspects of the grammar in order to combine efficiency and correction in the use of the Spanish language. Materials: Books: Intermediate Level: "Progresos" Advanced Level: "Temas de Gramática Española" Superior Level: "Sintaxis del español. Nivel de perfeccionamiento" These books are complemented with exercises and activities made by the teachers. Academic Schedule: (all year) 1st and 2nd hr: - Spanish Language 3rd hour: - Global communication exercises 4th hour, choose between: - Spanish culture - Spanish literature - History of Contemporary Spain - Written expression 5th hour, choose between: - History of Spanish Art - Business Spanish - Oral expression Note: - Compulsory lessons: The 1st, 2nd and 3rd lesson are compulsory. - Optional lessons or lessons of free election: The student can choose between the different options that Spanish Learning offers for the 4th and 5th hour.
